Everybody knows everything about an ordinary place like a supermarket, right? As a community service, Food Maxx offers educational tours to schools, clubs and a variety of organizations. Your group is invited to participate in this exciting, interactive and informative program- free of charge.

Your local Food Maxx has a "SuperFriend" to guide you through an educational supermarket expedition. Secondary students tackle topics like supermarket operations, consumer education, label reading, good eating habits and career possibilities. Younger students find themselves making "Super Food Choices" from Vitamin Alley, the Protein Palace, Dairy Den, and the Great Grains Aisle. A 45-minute tour includes at least 4 different departments and offers active involvement designed for the needs of each group and age.

Food Maxx's SuperFriend store tour program began in 2000. Since then, over 230 tours have "edutained" 5000 kids and adults as they get a "behind the scenes" look at the inner workings of a supermarket and learn good food choices. Each SuperFriend is an empowered employee dedicated to making a difference in their community.
Food Maxx believes in being pro-active in the health of children and their families. This educational experience is "Super-charged" with consumer-friendly information related to health, nutrition and wise-shopping. A family that eats together shares together. Food Maxx would love to share convenient ideas on how to bring the family together with meals served on the dinner table.
